QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with students and families.
  3. Ability and desire to work with students who are non- or limited English speaking.
  4. Excellent organizational and student supervision skills.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)

  1. Works with individual or small groups of students as directed by the ELL teacher or classroom teacher in all academic areas.
  2. Works with individual or small groups of students as directed by teacher.
  3. Assists the ELL teacher in the development and organization of appropriate learning materials and activities for ELL students.
  4. Assists the ELL teacher in development of learning centers, games, etc.
  5. Assists certified staff in the preparation of written reports/forms.
  6. Assists in maintenance of student files and information forms.
  7. Reproduces curriculum materials, reports, etc., as requested and approved by the ELL teacher.
  8. Performs any other duties assigned by the ELL teacher or principal.

 

At Will Employment: Employment with the Kearney Public School district is not for any period of time, and employment may be terminated at any time at the convenience of the terminating party, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
