QUALIFICATIONS:

   1.   Education:  Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalency preferred.

   2.   Must possess a valid Nebraska driver’s license and have a good driving record.

   3.   Must be of good moral character.

   4.   CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)

   1.   Monitors student behavior and upholds the rules as outlined in the Transportation Handbook.

   2.   Exercises sound judgment and maintains good school and public relations.

   3.   Arrives at Transportation/Maintenance Building or designated starting location 15 minutes before departure time.

   4.   Assists in loading and unloading students.

   5.   Greets students and parents with courtesy and politeness at all times.

   6.   Available to ride the route at regular assigned times.

   7.   Maintains bus/small vehicle rules of discipline in order to foster a positive vehicle climate.

   8.   Dresses appropriately for the job representing the district.

   9.   Works in conjunction with the driver.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  (Intellectual, Sensory):

~Accepts responsibility.

~Proficient in written and oral communication.

~Works well with children and adults.
