QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Able to pass Nebraska Department of Education physical.
- Possesses a valid Nebraska Driver’s License and has a good driving record.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)
- Available as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor.
- Knows and follows the rules and regulations of the State of Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Education, and Kearney Public Schools for the transportation of school children.
- Provides a safe and proper environment for students.
- Does not allow anyone except school personnel, supervisory personnel, and students regularly assigned to the route to ride the bus.
- Does not allow any object to be transported in the vehicle that interferes with the unrestricted movement of passengers in the aisle.
- Exercises sound judgment and assists in maintaining good school and public relations.
- Keeps the interior of the small vehicle clean (floors swept, windows clean, etc.).
